Saturday is the day!!

Well, my training gets a B/B+ for the upcoming Washington State Judo Championships.  Considering my priorities, family and work, I feel as ready as I can be.  It looks very likley I will make the 66Kg weight class for some seriously tough competition.  The things against me are a slight father time factor (43 yrs.) and that I have not competed in 2.5 years.  The things I have going for me are experience.  Also, I did a certified 5k on January 1st in 19:56.  I'm also benching 232lbs at the moment.  Like I said earlier my strength lies on the mat and a Judo tournament focuses on the throwing of ones opponent.  Anyway, I'm really rather stoked about it and I'm grateful to God that I at least feel I can contend at this level.  Who knows, I may have my butt handed to me or I may have a good showing.  These days as long as I can hold my own, I'll call it a winning experience.  I also want to say thanks to my awesome brother Theo who is coming out for the weekend.  It will be the most positive differential bro, I love you!!!!!!  Be safe everyone and God Bless, Cheers!
