Race Spectator

Fall '07

Soooo, this is not my racing season, but my "base-training & uniform-buying season."  hehe

Yeah, so in the meantime I am loving being on the sidelines: spectating and supporting our team (LOVE IT!!!), but this weekend it was a little tough.  I was a stationary spectator, cheering from behind a table full of (gorgeous) new Tricat t-shirts (only $12 if anyone wants one!!  hehe), and wasn't able to roam the course as I normally do to give that serious support I love to give to the hardest working people there: the racers!

Seeing other people race, really racing, beating the clock as best they can, especially people I know and am fond of (Go TriCats!!!), gives me an overwhelming sense of indirect pride.  I get so PROUD of the people working their butts off and pushing their bodies to limits most people only see on t.v. or dream of doing every New Year's Eve.  hehe

Triathletes live lives other people dream of having.  But we work for it too.

And how worth it it is!   ...At least I think so.

Just random thoughts...

P.S.- My race entry-purchasing season starts in the Spring!

Meanwhile, training continues tonight at A-Mountain!  ...Goin' for a yog! ;)
